LOCATION: (lat. 28°42'32.8" N., long. 82°26'34.9" W.)
Dames cave is located in the Withlacoochee State Forest, just North of the Citrus/Hernando County line.
DESCRIPTION:
There are at least 4 cave entrances along
the main trail (trail 22), three are clustered together around the huge opening pictured
above. A fourth is a little farther East down the trail. There is
real nice one called Peace Cave a 1/4 mile down the trail that heads North of the
main cluster. I've given you the location of the sacrificial cave, IF you are a true
spelunker and are willing to put in the effort you will find the others on your own:
